The installation setting is the result of a reflection on the coexistence of generations and on the traces of the past in objects which at first sight belongs only to the present. An apparent domestic landscape – a place of family reunion – is disturbed by references to parallel moments in time, evoked through a layer of earth and a projection of negative photographs. The photographic collection, reproduced by the device, comes from my family archive and represents the generation of relatives of whom I could not make direct acquaintance.
